Golf Interest Group

The Golf Interest Group is open to current members and meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, with tee times starting at approximately 8:00 am. The group is for members that want to gather with other members in a safe and fun way with a round of golf at the Estes Park 9-hole golf course. Members must register for the bi-monthly outings at least one week before each  event and will be assigned to a group by the group leader. This is a paid event and each member will be responsible for their green fee plus any cart fee.

Bird Watching

November 21, 2019 by Bob Fulton

Join the Newcomer Tweeters to learn about the various bird species in the Estes Park area. The group will meet at different locations around Estes Park from up in Rocky Mountain National Park on relatively easy trails to some relatively flat trails around town to even some areas down around Lyons and Longmont, depending upon the expected weather, migration of birds and what may be of interest. This is intended to be a low impact, easy walking group with no strenuous hiking required. This fun and educational group will meet year-round on the 4th Friday of every month.
The leader of the birdwatching group is Tim Orel, a graduate of the Estes Park Newcomers, but an enthusiastic amateur who enjoys not only looking for birds but also using his cameras to take pictures of them so he can identify them either on site or once he gets back home. For questions, please contact him at 303-956-8863 or at tim@orel.org.

That's what Group It! is all about. Newcomers who sign up for this group will be notified whenever other members are gathering to share an event or outing.

If you want to join in a particular activity, simply RSVP on the website and you will get messages letting you know where and when the group is gathering for that event.

IMPORTANT: In order to participate in the hiking group, each member must complete the most recent 2023 release form with an ink signature, not a typed signature. Please download the form and email a copy (scan or photo) to waivers@estesparknewcomers.org.
