Come to the Newcomers Club’s first ever Neighborhood Get Togethers! We are organizing our membership into small groups by location to give you the opportunity to get acquainted with Club members who live close to you. We invite you to join your neighborhood group on August 23 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for an outdoor gathering at the home of a host who has not yet been determined. If you would be willing to host the gathering for your neighborhood -- a maximum of 10 participants including you as the host -- please send a message to membership@estesparknewcomers.org.
You will receive an emailed invitation to your Neighborhood Get Together before the middle of August with all the details, including a link to the registration form that is required for all in-person activities (please see the Club’s COVID Requirements document). In order to register you must already have signed and returned the Club’s COVID-19 Waiver. We encourage you to scan or take a cell phone photo of it and email it to waivers@estesparknewcomers.org at your earliest convenience.
We are excited to offer this Neighborhood Get Togethers social activity and hope you will be able to participate!
Newcomers Club President Debbi Stalder said in her first message of the 2020/2021 Club year: “Like many of you, I miss our social gatherings and connecting with fellow Newcomers. . . . The 2020 New Year came in and presented the Newcomers Club with challenges that we have never faced before in the history of our Club. . . . Over the course of the last month, the Newcomers Club Board has been working behind the scenes to explore opportunities to reconnect and re-energize our Membership. We have been monitoring State and County requirements and recommendations for group gatherings and are pleased to offer our Membership activities that meet these guidelines while maintaining social distancing and keeping our Members safe.”
