The Estes Valley Land Trust has extended a special offer to Newcomers members who are also members of the Land Trust. They are sponsoring a free outing on July 12th, which includes a hike of the new Moose Meadow or Limber Pine trails at Hermit Park. A Larimer County official will be on hand to talk about the new trails and future trail development. The Land Trust is covering the entrance fee and the fee for their annual picnic that starts at 5:30pm.
You may recall that the Estes Valley Land Trust was the featured program at the Newcomers monthly meeting this last March. If you have subsequently joined the Land Trust (or would still like to, and join online), this is an opportunity to reserve a spot for a behind-the scenes hike of some of the beautiful open spaces of Hermit Park.
Jeffrey Boring, Executive Director of the Land Trust, commented "So, you hike for a few hours, get a behind-the-scenes tour of Hermit, have a hotdog and ice cream picnic with about hundred other EVLT members and watch a raptor program. All for joining the land trust. Pretty cool day!"
We’re limiting the hike to 12 people. Once I have a final list of participants, I’ll follow up with an email with all the details."
If you’re interested in this opportunity, please contact Jeffrey at jeffrey.boring@evlandtrust.org, to register for the event.
